The images show a mat foundation of reinforced concrete for the construction of a storage facility consisting of 6 Silos. La second image shows a finite element model of mat foundation. The last two pictures are the outcomes of FEM: Bending moments of a plate in X and Y directions. Such outcomes have been used for dimensioning the foundation reinforcement.
The finite element simulation based on a Winkler model allows you to predict foundation bending solicitations in order to design mat foundation reinforcement.
EXAMPLE 02
The images show a reinforced concrete foundation for an industrial weighbridge (for weighing heavy vehicles).
The foundation reinforcement design must take into account different load combinations due to the variety of vehicles that can be weighed, as well as to the fact that the vehicles move on the weighbridge itself.
